About Dr. Lanier

RETURN TO WHOLENESS
HEALING, BALANCE, GROWTH

Licensed Psychologist Fulshear Texas: Stacey E. H. Lanier, PhD, ABPP

I am a native Texan, born and raised in Houston, and I proudly now claim the Fulshear/Simonton area as my personal and professional home. I am a licensed psychologist in Texas, and I am board certified in clinical psychology. With over 20 years of experience, I offer psychotherapy services and personal consultation to adults and adolescents in individual, couples and group settings. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship work. I also have many clients who are interested in personal growth, mindfulness and resiliency rather than addressing clinical or diagnostic issues.

I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from Texas Christian University, my master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and my Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park also in counseling psychology. I completed an internship at the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in clinical psychology (MEDVAMC) and then sought additional training at the MEDVAMC through a yearlong postdoctoral fellowship specializing in trauma and anxiety disorders. All of my doctoral training is from APA accredited programs.

After my fellowship, I took a clinical psychologist position in the Trauma Recovery Program at the VA, working with veterans returning from combat. After over 7 years of service at the VA, I decided to leave the hospital setting and go into private practice full time. I now enjoy seeing clients in my private practice office located just a few miles west of Katy, TX in the quaint community of Fulshear, TX.

I have received feedback from my clients that they experience me as warm, compassionate, easy to talk to, and straightforward. In addition to being a licensed psychologist in Fulshear, Texas, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors in nature, horseback riding, singing, reading and volunteering in the Fulshear and Simonton communities and with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

I value faith, courage, determination, vulnerability, grace and gratitude. I believe that we can change. I believe that we can heal from our wounds, no matter how old or deep. I believe that we can find peace and balance in what can seem like a crazy and chaotic world. And, I believe that we find ourselves as we continue to grow, using our lessons and experiences as we discover our purpose and who we were meant to be.
